History of Construction:

The construction of the Unhas Campus Mosque began in the 1980s. From its inception, the mosque was designed to serve as a center for religious activities and the development of Islamic values on the Unhas campus. The mosque not only functions as a place of worship but also as a center for religious studies and various social activities involving students and campus residents.

Architecture:

The Unhas Campus Mosque features a simple yet elegant architectural design, reflecting a blend of traditional and modern styles. This makes it one of the most recognizable buildings on campus. Its strategic location in the Tamalanrea area makes it easily accessible to the entire campus community.

Role and Function:

As it developed, the Unhas Campus Mosque became a hub for Islamic student activities at Unhas. Various events such as scientific studies, Islamic seminars, regular religious study groups, and religious discussions are often held at this mosque. Additionally, it serves as a gathering place for Islamic student organizations that are active in religious outreach and the development of Islamic character.

The mosque also functions as a place for congregational prayers, especially Friday prayers, which are always attended by a large number of students, staff, and local residents.

With its presence, the Unhas Campus Mosque not only serves as a place of worship but also as a center for intellectual and spiritual development for students and the entire community at Hasanuddin University.
