Hasanuddin University through the Academic and Student Affairs Division again implemented the Unhas Mengkaji and Pray in Congregation Movement (GUMSB) for the first time in the final semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The opening activity took place in a limited hybrid manner after congregational Asr prayers at the Ikhtiar Mosque of Hasanuddin University, Tamalanrea Campus, Tuesday (28/02).

Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes.,Sp.BM(K) as the person in charge of the activity then gave a few words. "This activity is carried out as an effort to synergize science and faith so that Hasanuddin University students become individuals who are not only intellectual but also faithful," he explained. 

The Chancellor of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. then officially opened the event. He emphasized that Hasanuddin University will carry out this activity sustainably and continue to make maximum efforts not only to encourage the improvement of the quality of students' knowledge, but also their spiritual quality.

Dr. Ahmad Mujahid, M. Ag. was present as a speaker with the theme "The Nature of Prayer, the Meaning of Isra' Mi'raj". In general, he invited all academicians of Hasanuddin University to contemplate the process of Isra' and Mi'raj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and conduct studies and research that lead to the proof of the greatness of Allah SWT. Furthermore, he appealed to make prayer a means of Mi'raj to Allah SWT.

The GUMSB series in each implementation begins with the reading of the divine word and tilawah extract then continued with Tahsinul Qur'an with a Mudassir, on this occasion by Ustadz Sulaiman Gosalam who is also the chairman of the GUMSB committee. The event ended with a discussion and question and answer session between participants and speakers. This activity was attended by hundreds of participants both offline and online and took place solemnly.
